Who We Are

Bristol Waste Company is your local recycling, waste collection and street cleansing company. We also run the two household waste recycling centres in the city and have recently launched a commercial waste service offering local businesses tailored, cost effective recycling and waste solutions.

Resource Planner
Salary: £29,000 per annum
Full Time: 40 hours per week
Based at Albert Road & Avonmouth depots, Bristol
We are looking for a Resource Planner to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of Refuse and Recycling services for the residents of Bristol, and support the delivery of operational objectives, policies and performance targets. 
Duties will include:
Resource planning and ensuring adequate crewing levels and vehicle provision for refuse and recycling collections. 
Driving employee engagement and safety culture.
Engaging positively with the City Council and other partners and community groups.

Requirements: It is essential to have knowledge of logistics and/or waste management industry; an understanding of transport management and fleet compliance; excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; experience of leading and managing a large operational team and dealing with difficult situations; the ability to take ownership of complex and challenging problems and apply innovative solutions; and good experience of using ICT systems.
