Planning application submitted for Hartcliffe Way Household Reuse and Recycling Centre
Plans for a new Household Reuse and Recycling Centre on the site of the current Bristol Waste Street Cleansing Depot have been submitted.
The proposed development will provide a much called for new recycling facility to serve the residents of South Bristol, and a reuse facility to help divert good quality reusable items from disposal.
The footprint of the proposed redevelopment will cover the whole of the existing depot area, although the existing office building in the middle of the site will remain.
The reuse shop will help divert good quality, pre-loved items from the waste stream and provide low cost household products, such as televisions, furniture and vacuums, for residents.
By redirecting reusable items from disposal, it will reduce costs, save valuable resources and help us reach our ambitious recycling targets. A reuse workshop will also be built into the site to support this vital work.
