The Great British Spring Clean comes to Bristol

Find out what's going on and how to get involved...

The Great British Spring Clean is a campaign with one simple ambition. To bring together people from across the country to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and coastline.

In 2015, Melissa Murdoch had an idea to get people from all walks of life together in cleaning up the rubbish that surrounds us. Together, with Adrian Evans, Keep Britain Tidy, Country Life Magazine and a range of supporting partners the Clean for The Queen campaign inspired 250,000 people to get involved in local clean ups through March 2016. But it doesn’t stop there.

In Bristol we are getting involved with our very own Great Bristol Spring Clean. Mayor Marvin Rees, Bristol City Council and Bristol Waste Company are supporting the residents of Bristol who want to get involved in this inspirational campaign.

We have more than 30 litter picks that are going on between the 3rd and the 5th March that have been arranged by local residents and community groups. As well as numerous school groups who are taking part.

If you want to find out more have a read of these pages and see if there is a litter pick near you
